University of Austin Campus Visit
Description
Campus visits for individual prospective students and their families are offered on Mondays and Fridays from September through early July from 9:30AM-2:30PM (or at an adjusted time, depending on the availability of the University staff and that of the prospective student). Please select your preferred date via the form below.
Visits on other days and times may sometimes be accommodated upon request; email admissions@uaustin.org for more information or if you have any questions.
Visits are normally customized for the individual student and often include:
- Meeting with the UATX Director of Admissions
- Meeting with another academic leader, or with a professor
- Meeting with a current UATX student
- A guided tour of our Scarbrough campus (101 W 6th Street, Austin) and the Union on 24th student apartments (701 W 24th Street, Austin)
- Observation of a class (prospective students only)
If you wish to plan and register a student group visit to UATX, please email admissions@uaustin.org with your first and last name, school or organization, phone number, and a detailed request. You may also call or text us at 737-377-2488.
Important Notes:
- Campus Visits organized by the UATX Admissions Office are normally reserved for prospective undergraduate students and their families. If you wish to visit as a parent without a student; as a teacher, counselor, or school administrator; or as an individual with other interests (or with a general interest in the University), please email programs@uaustin.org with your first and last name, phone number, and a detailed request. We will respond to your inquiry promptly.
- Each prospective UATX student (even multiple students from the same family) must be registered individually, not included in the form as a guest. Parents and other family members should be indicated as guests.
- Visits are not normally scheduled over UATX student breaks, during the first week of each term, and during major holidays. The UATX 2026-2027 Academic Calendar can be viewed here.
- The prospective student, not a parent, should fill out the registration form if possible.
- We may reach out with additional questions in advance of your visit. We will also send you a customized itinerary no later than one day prior to your visit. Please check your email, including your spam folder!
- Parking Information: UATX does not have its own parking lot. The University will fully validate parking at Metropolis Parking at 112 E 5th Street in Austin, very close to our Scarbrough Campus at 101 W 6th Street. Please request validation at the UATX front desk and have your license plate number handy. Parking elsewhere (including at or near the Union on 24th student apartments) cannot be validated.
- Campus Access Information:
- The entrance to the lobby of our campus (in the historic Scarbrough Building) is on 6th Street, NOT on Congress Avenue. (522 Congress Ave is our mailing address.) The entrance, marked with “SCARBROUGH” above the doors, is located between Velvet Taco and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.
- Access to UATX’s campus on the second and third floor of the Scarbrough Building (via stairs or elevator) requires a key card. A staff member or security guard will greet you in the lobby of the Scarbrough Building at the beginning of your visit and guide you to the third floor. Please do not arrive more than five minutes prior to your visit start time, as you may not be able to access the building.
Any questions or requests? Email us at admissions@uaustin.org, or call or text us at 737-377-2488.
